About Steven Tambone

Steve Tambone is a 1982 graduate of Rutgers with a degree in electrical engineering.  The analytical and problem solving skills he acquired through the engineering program served him well with his transition into the financial services industry in 2001.

To help broaden his knowledge, Steve continued his studies with the American College’s Financial Planning Program and obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2005, along with the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) certifications.  In the spring of 2006 he started S & A Financial Strategies & Services to concentrate solely on providing quality, objective advice.  Steve is also a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).  During his corporate years, he worked for companies such as Peabody Engineering, IBM and Symbol Technologies.

Steve enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife Marion and their pets.  His interests include current events, athletics and Italy - its beauty, history, language and culture.  Steve also enjoys writing on variety of financial topics and about his experiences in Italy.  Throughout his professional career, he has also enjoyed volunteer work with Junior Achievement, the Twilight Wish Foundation and Meals on Wheels.
